General questions about Collectody
Where can I download the Collectody app?
Our app will initially only be available for iOS! You can therefore download the app from the Apple App Store as soon as it has been published.
Will Collectody be available in further languages in the future?
Collectody is currently available in German, English, French, and Italian. Whether and when we will support additional languages depends primarily on the needs of our users. If you would prefer to use Collectody in a language other than those currently available, please let us know via our contact form or the feedback form in the app. The more users are interested in a language, the more likely we are to plan for the corresponding translation in the future.
Is the Collectody app free of charge?
You can use and test the Collectody app completely free of charge and without obligation. For additional functionalities, we charge an annual fee. You can find all information directly in our app and choose the version that suits you and your collections best!
Questions about collecting with Collectody
Which collectible categories does Collectody support?
In our first version, you can enter your collectibles in the areas of books, music, films & series, postcards and ice hockey pucks. Of course, further collection areas will be added over time. If you are interested in a specific collection category, please let us know via our contact form or the feedback form in the app!
Does my collectible item need to have an EAN, ISBN, or similar code for me to be able to enter it?
No! An EAN, ISBN, or similar identifier makes things much easier, of course: If your item has one, it helps us and others enormously if you enter it. This unique identifier makes it much easier for us to check collectibles and make them available to other users via our database. If your collectible is already in our database, you can find it just as easily and save yourself all the individual details.
However, there are also items without such an identifier, and you can enter these as well. EAN, ISBN, etc. are always optional, so it is sufficient to enter only the mandatory information (e.g., author and title for books or artist and title for music).
Can I share collections with others?
Yes and no. In the first version, it is not yet possible to share collections with other users within the app – but this is already planned for the future! As long as this functionality is not yet available, subscribers can at least export their collections and share them with others in this way.
