Collectody is now in beta – and you can be part of it!

Collectody is growing and taking shape – and we have reached a point we have been working toward for a long time: our app is now in beta!

This means that the most important foundations are in place, many features are already usable, and we can finally let the first users take a look around Collectody. Before the app officially sees the light of day, we want to test it in real collectors’ everyday lives – with people who love their collections, enjoy trying out new things, and are willing to give us honest feedback.

Collectody is meant to become an app that truly helps collectors. Not just in theory, but in everyday use: when adding new items, looking for important information, organizing multiple collections, and above all, keeping track of your own collection.

That is exactly why the beta phase is so important to us. Even though we are collectors ourselves and many ideas originated from our own experience, we know that every collector and every collection is different. Some collect books or vinyl records, some postcards, others collect fan items from their favorite sports club. Often, collections include very personal keepsakes, and each collection has its own special characteristics. Some collections are small and easy to manage, while others grow over many years or even decades. With the beta phase, we want to find out how Collectody works in as many different situations as possible. What feels intuitive already? What is still missing? Which features are especially enjoyable to use? And where can we make the app even clearer, faster, or more helpful?

To start with, we are looking for 10 to 20 people who would like to try out Collectody before the official release. Since Collectody is currently only available for iOS, you will need an iPhone running at least iOS 16.0 to take part.

Don't worry, as a beta user you do not need to be a tech expert. What matters much more is that you enjoy collecting and are willing to share feedback with us. That could be a quick note if something is unclear, a suggestion for improving a functionality, an idea for an additional feature, or simply letting us know what you especially like. Feedback from very different collecting areas is especially valuable to us. After all, Collectody is not meant to work for just one specific type of collection, but to be as flexible and useful as possible for many collectors.

As a beta tester, you get early access to Collectody and can use the app before the official release. You help us find the last rough edges and improve Collectody step by step. Of course, we will not leave you alone: if you are selected as a beta tester, you will receive all the important information you need to access the app. We will help you with the setup and with your first steps in Collectody.

We also want to say thank you to everyone who supports us at this early stage: anyone who joins as a beta tester before the official release can use all Collectody features without restrictions – including the features that will later become paid features. This applies as long as you remain active as a beta tester and continue to give us feedback.
